Discover bearThe unique Steiff Charity bears were auctioned online on United Charity's platform from November 3 to December 15 2022.
We initiate the Steiff Charity 2022 to support children that need help. We want to inspire and stimulate the development of children. It is our goal to raise substantial amounts of money to sponsor charities that are engaged in giving children the support they need.
The story of Margarete Steiff GmbH began with a remarkable woman who, despite a severe disability, managed to establish a globally successful company.
In an ideal world all children across the globe would grow up in the same giving and supportive environment as Margarete Steiff. They would experience love, shelter and happiness. They would have access to food and education and have a chance to experience a life in peace, freedom and self-determination.
- Sadly, that is not the case.
175 years ago Margarete Steiff was born - 145 years ago, Richard Steiff was born - 120 years ago the first Steiff Teddy was born. We take the remarkable anniversaries of Steiff in 2022 as an occasion to contribute to charities in favour of the advancement of children worldwide.
Steiff Charity auction takes place in November 2022 through United Charity with all proceeds donated to UNICEF.
Supported by the fashion design students of the School of Design of the Pforzheim University in Germany, the bears were created.
Our Charity Bear is made out of an alternative hemp material. He is 40 cm high and has our famous Button in Ear. The bear is handmade only for this fundraiser and the paw pad of the bear is decorated with the signature of the famous personalities.
