Model and actress Toni Garrn was born 7.July.92 in Hamburg, Germany. She grew up in Athens and London from 1995 – 2001 and did her A-levels 2010 in Hamburg, Germany.

She has worked with most of the biggest fashion and beauty brands such as Versace, Prada, Chanel. Elie Saab, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, L’Oreal, Victoria’s Secret, Dior and Cartier to name a few.
Toni has always had the desire to see girls‘ lifted up and empowered. In February 2016, furthering her activism and providing more focus to her work and the projects she supports, Toni established the Toni Garrn Foundation, raising money specifically for projects advocating and advancing the rights of girls and their education. Toni is committed to working towards a world where children, especially girls, can utilize their full potential!
In July 2018 she was appointed as Ambassador for SDG 5- Gender Equality by the Federal Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr Gerd Müller.

Jessica Hug
Hello there!
I am Jessica, a 22 year‘s old fashion student, based near Baden- Baden, in the wonderful black forest in Germany. I am currently studying in my last year/ 7th term at DesignPF and am about to finish with my bachelor‘s degree next year. For me fashion is a strong communication tool: We‘re always communicating with the way we dress - whether we want to or not. I am looking forward to exchange ideas and sharing experience with others, constantly looking for new challenges in the world of fashion.
I am more than excited to be a part of this amazing project and to bring visions to reality with my creative input. For me the Steiff Teddy is a cult object that stores a lot of my childhood memories and has the ability to accompany you growing up.
Jacqueline Scherlinger
Hi everyone! I am Jacqueline, 24 years old and a fashion student from Pforzheim. Right now I‘m in my eighth term of my fashion studies at DesignPF. My special interest in fashion is to create a vision/world which makes people feel happy and beautiful.
Every small positive change leads to a better world, Teddys are the hope for every child. I am honored to have the chance to do something positive for the children, and at the end, it is for us all.
The briefing and the idea
Who would have thought that a supermodel wears two different socks in her day-to-day life? Toni Garrn is known as a glamourous top model in the “perfect” world of high fashion. Familiar with elegant suits, red-carpet-dresses and high-heels, her favourite everyday look consists of an oversized hoodie with leggings.
The bear is meant to capture her personality behind the cameras and spotlights: her very soft and caring private side as a family person and mother, her sustainable lifestyle, and her social engagement in Africa where she helps young women build a better future. The look represents a comfortable and “laid-back” chic with Africa-related details such as colorful beads or Toni‘s own necklace.
The bear encourages to embrace “incompatibilities” or “opposites”, to replace “either … or” by “either … and”. The bear promotes the charm and chic of casual imperfection. It doesn’t have to fit right, it doesn’t have to perfect, however, it should be sustainable, socially responsible and ‘serene’!
As echoed by the socks „... it doesn‘t matter if it‘s a little different!“
