About Ronan Keating

Music artist Ronan Keating rose to fame as lead singer of one of Irelands most successful pop groups ‘Boyzone’. His successful solo career then started in 1999 with the hit single ‘When You Say Nothing At All’. His debut album ‘Ronan’ sold over 1,000,000 copies after its release and hit number 1 in charts across the world. His career now spans nearly 30 years and last year saw the release of his twelfth solo album, ‘Songs From Home’.

Keating has collaborated with many well-known artists, including Sir Elton John with whom he performed at the Madison Garden in New York City, Robbie Williams, Pavarotti and Cat Stevens. Not only did he sell out shows all over the world he also got the chance to perform in front of over 250,000 people at the 2006 FIFA World cup in Berlin and also in front of the Pope.

This year, 2022, sees Ronan touring the world with his ‘All the Hits Tour’ as well as hosting live national radio and TV shows in the UK.

Hey there! I am Clara, 24 years old - in my 7th term of fashion studies in Pforzheim. Whilst I do enjoy aesthetics and creativity in fashion, my main urge is to contribute to a better world through design and compassion.
When I was young, I had tons of stuffed animals - but just one was really
important to me. The one I dragged with me to every doctor or holiday.
It doesn´t need a lot of teddys - we just need a really good one in order to help many. It´s great to have a chance to participate in this project.

Franziska Lambart

Hello, my name is Tiska Lambart. I am a 22-year-old accessory design student at DesigPF. Besides my passion for per-forming arts, designing and developing creative solutions fulﬁlls me. I am now in my 5th semester and enjoy being able to expand my skills in this area.
Being part of this project means a
lot to me. When I was in elementary school, there was a theme week about Margarete Steiﬀ. We looked at her biography and each student sewed a little teddy by hand. These days had a strong impact on me and I was very impressed by Margarete Steiﬀ. Maybe that‘s why I chose the direction I‘m taking right now. So this project now somehow closes the circle.

The briefing and the idea

Ronan Keating is an irish singer and songwirter who recorded worldwide known records. He is a creative and also a devoted father with a big sense for his family and kids.
He is travelling a lot but does not forget about his origin. He stays connected and caring.
The bear is supposed to show these attributes, to represent a cool, travelling musician who is still approachable and giving comfort to his dearest. He is inviting us to come together and think about what matters, tell each other stories and share a laugh.
