Here comes Mr Bear whizzing along in his mobile cart.
Today Ben and Mila will show you how to make a cute Teddy express out of a tea box or a small cardboard box. You can transport all kinds of things in it: Crunchy sticks, pens, presents and even small cuddly toys.
What you need:
- an empty tea box
- Acrylic paint in brown
- Photo cardboard scraps in brown, white and black
- solid cardboard box in DIN 5
- Felt tip pen in black
- Pointed scissors
- Jute cord
- Craft glue
- Brush
- Templates
Step 1:
First, cut off the top of your box so that only one open box remains. Then paint the outside of the box with brown acrylic paint. Let everything dry well!
If the paint does not cover well enough, the cart may need a second coat.
Step 2:
In the meantime, cut out the ears, eyes and mouth from the photo card. Draw the pupils and mouth with a black pen.
Step 3:
Cut the wheels for the Teddy Express out of sturdy cardboard and glue them on top of each other
Step 4:
Make a hole in the bottom centre of the front of the cart using the pointed scissors
Step 5:
Then thread an approx. 40 cm long piece of jute string through it and knot the inside end of the string so that it can no longer slip out.
Step 6:
Finally, glue all the parts together with craft glue and let the glue dry thoroughly.
