Not only cookie monsters love cookies.
Ben and Mila's kitchen smells deliciously of freshly baked cookies. They can’t be chocolatey enough for them. Today they're sharing their favourite cookie recipe with you. It's easy as pie and you'll end up with a whole gang of bears. What are you waiting for? Grab your mixing bowl and ingredients and let's go!
What you need:
Egg |
1 |
Sugar |
100 g |
Soft butter |
200 g |
Flour |
300 g |
Baking cocoa |
1 - 2 TL |
Dark chocolate |
100 g |
Wooden skewer |
1 - 2 |
Step 1:
Beat the egg, sugar and softened butter in a bowl with a hand mixer until creamy. Then add the flour to the mixture and knead well together.
Step 2:
Divide the dough into 3 equal parts. Put one part aside. Now add the baking cocoa to the other two parts and knead it in thoroughly. Again, use the hand mixer first. When the cocoa has combined with the dough, you can also knead it with your hands. It's a lot of fun and the cocoa is distributed evenly. Then form both doughs into a ball and place them in an airtight bowl in the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
Step 3:
Then sprinkle some flour on your work surface and roll out the dark dough to about ½ cm thick. Use a 5 cm circle cutter to cut out circles for the head. If you don't have a suitable cutter, no problem. A glass or a small tin will also work well as a cookie cutter. Use a 2 cm cookie cutter to cut out smaller circles for the ears.
Step 4:
Roll out the light-coloured dough on a floured work surface and cut out 2.5 cm circles for the noses. Line a baking tray with baking parchment and preheat the oven to 356 °F. Put the individual circles together to make a bear face. Then put your teddy bears in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Step 5:
While the biscuits are cooling, melt the chocolate. Then use a skewer to draw eyes, nose and mouth on your teddies. Let the chocolate set and you can start nibbling.
